Welcome to this Hughes Family History website

This website contains details of over 25 years of research into my branch of the Hughes family. Large branches of connected families are also included and credit is due to the original researchers of these.

I have also researched my mother’s Elwood family and my maternal grandmothers’ Hill & Taylor families and these are also included here.

Also included are the results of recent research into my wife’s Scottish ancestry. This includes the Mitchell, Peterkin, Galloway & Skirving families.

The privacy of living individuals is protected and their details will only be visible to visitors with a username & password. The issuing of these is controlled by me but anyone with a genuine interest in the family history is welcome to apply for one.
