Son Present at death

Note

The story related by Tom HUGHES is that he didn't make a very good fist of running the White Hart, however, this hasn't been backed up with any evidence.

Note

91 Bailgate. White Hart Hotel The present building originates from 1722, but is a composite of several buildings. It was refronted in 1844 with additions and alterations in the 1880s/1890s, 1938 and 1962. There was an inn here "le hert" in 1515 and perhaps as far back as the 14th century.
